Fruit Crops Physiology & Pollination Group

Our Fruit Crops Physiology & Pollination Group improves productivity and efficiency of orchard systems of fruit crops based on scaled up knowledge from molecular, physiological, modelling, soil, water and environmental science, integrated with system science. The group also has a focus on optimising crop pollination by synthesising knowledge from the fields of floral biology, entomology, animal behaviour, apiculture and ecology.

Our researchers are based across eight sites – Kerikeri, Auckland, Ruakura, Te Puke, Hawke’s Bay, Palmerston North, Motueka, Lincoln and Clyde, as well as in Australia.
