Management of 130 scientists in the Food Innovation Portfolio. Developing and implementing new product development of premium vegetable products, including the launch of nutrition- and health benefit-labelled fresh vegetable products for the New Zealand market (vitalvegetables) and implementing a communication strategy for nutrition and health benefits of vegetables in Australia (www.veggycation.com.au). Developing mechanisms to manage investment in science, and implementing both Government and commercially funded research programmes. Member of FoodHQ leadership team and on the Board of the High Value Nutrition National Science Challenge.
