Processing & Marine Products Group
The Seafood Processing & Marine Products Group works with producers to ensure that maximum benefit is gained from every part of New Zealand’s marine harvest. They want purchasers of New Zealand seafood and other marine products to have a fabulous experience at the market, in the kitchen and at the table. The group has and extensive e knowledge of the biochemistry and structure of marine organisms, of the bacteria that grow on them and of food and bio processing technologies. They use this expertise to develop new and improved methods to enhance the quality, safety and shelf life of New Zealand seafood and to deliver high-value nutraceuticals, food and cosmetic ingredients and other biomaterials.
The group is based in both Nelson and Auckland.
