Responsibilities

Lead and manage about 45 staff, supporting the Seafood Technologies team to deliver research outcomes across a range of areas such as marine-derived compounds, fisheries technology, seafood safety, consumer sensory science and finfish aquaculture. Work with industry to identify research that will enable opportunities to be identified and realised for the seafood sector, and foster collaborations with other Plant & Food Research portfolios, NZ research providers and international connections.
