Responsibilities
General Manager of Plant & Food Research’s Sustainable Production science portfolio which consists of about 150 researchers located at 12 sites around New Zealand. Manage the leaders of the portfolio’s five science groups (Soil, Water and Environment; Crop and Fruit Production Systems; Bioengineering Technologies; Systems Modelling; Viticulture and Oenology), a Portfolio Manager, and three Business Managers who provide business support for the portfolio’s activities. Provide strategic leadership for the portfolio, requiring engagement with key stakeholders in government and industry, and lead operational management of the portfolio.
