Postharvest Fresh Foods Group
The Postharvest Fresh Foods Group conducts research to enable harvested fruits,and vegetables to reach their markets with optimal quality and safety. This includes investigation into how produce is affected by biochemical changes in terms of textural quality and taste, as well as developing systems and technologies that ensure product quality and presentation are maintained from farm/orchard to market.
Our researchers are based at three sites – Auckland, Hawke’s Bay and Palmerston North.
