Bioresources Engineering & Chemistry Group
The Bioresources Engineering & Chemistry Group develops innovative ingredients, processes and products from research into food and bioresources chemistry, bio-extracts and food and biomaterials engineering. The Group manages the New Zealand Food Composition Database in partnership with the Ministry of Health, and links directly to the wider food innovaiton network across the country. The Group is also developing a strong track record in helping the food industry implement FSANZ nutrition and health claims.
Our researchers are based at three sites - Auckland, Nelson and Lincoln.
