Genomics Group

Plant & Food Research’s Genomics Group aim is to accelerate the time it takes to develop new plant cultivars of commercially important crops through a molecular understanding of the genes responsible for key production and consumer traits and to discover and isolate the mechanism by which the alleles that exist in our germplasm influence these traits.

The Genomics Group are based across three scientific sites – Auckland, Palmerston North and Lincoln.
