Breeding Technologies Group

Our Breeding Technologies Group focuses on applying genomics knowledge to map the genetic profiles of plants in our germplasm collection. We also investigate the use of new and emerging plant biotechnology techniques, such as hybridisation, as methods for developing new commercial cultivars.

The Breeding Technologies Group is located across three scientific sites – Auckland, Palmerston North and Lincoln.
