Breeding Science Group

Our Breeding Science Group develops customised products based on our germplasm and breeding new cultivars with novel consumer-driven attributes. The Breeding Science Group uses conventional breeding techniques, combined with knowledge of the genetic profile of our extensive germplasm collections, to develop new cultivars and evaluate these according to consumer demands and the requirements of our industry partners.

The Breeding Science Group is located at 10 sites in key crop growing areas – Kerikeri, Pukekohe, Ruakura, Te Puke, Hawke's Bay, Motueka, Marlborough, Lincoln, Clyde and Gore.
